R.I.P Chris!

I didn't expect I'll post something so soon and its actually for someone that I wanna remember forever...

Just an hour plus ago I received a sms from Gege that Chris has passed away, my mood changed... The dream last week came true, Rosalyn told me to visit Chris cos she said the dream meant something... haix...

I really dunno how to put it, but to look at the positive angle, it is a relieve to Chris's suffering and also to cease the burden of the expensive medical fee. No matter what, nobody can change anything now. Chris went into coma from 01/05/08 and left us on 12/08/08. Chris is the bravest and strongest person who fought for her life with pride. Chris, your close ones and all your friends are proud of you.

Chris, I wanna thank you for all the good treatments. My life has changed partially because of you. You are all the motivation for me in work and without you at the workplace the atmosphere is really dull, boring and quiet. I really owe you big time and you didn't even give me a chance to return. In my heart, you are the winner, everything you do is so firm and steady that I really have to take my hat off you. Remember what I told you in hospital? (I believe you can hear me ok!) I said, "Dun worry, what's there to be afraid of, with you around is a sure win, won't lose ok?"

The short period that we worked together, you have been taking care of me and giving me special treatment and attention. You are the only person who have treat me so well. I really really owe you and Gege big time. Because of Gege, I even started calling you god sis.

I'm sorry for the perceived impression about you previously, no matter what it is. I felt different when I really know you in person. So what is what does not matter anymore. When you are in heaven, please take good care of Gege and your two wonderful children cos they are closest to you and they will miss you like how you will miss them. Not forgetting to mention, we will miss you as well, so don't you dare to forget us. Thank you for appearing in my life, you are really a n-yu(3) zhong(1) hao(2) jie(2) and pretty and havoc haa...

Chris, rest in peace!

With love,
Ashton

After sooooo long....

Finally I'm here with my post, I dun think it is a long awaited post for anyone cos after sooooo long, no one bother to come already haa! Anyway, my schedules are real tight and I've been busy with works, gatherings, some shows, some jammings and some personal stuff.

Yeah, I got my MacBook months back and the price of it is a 18 months contract with $88 bill per months wahahaa... but since I wanted to buy a MacBook, I signed up for the plan! Eeeks, my desktop is getting slower and slower. It hangs everytime I wanted it to multi-task. I guess its lifespan is up...

The past 4 months has been tough but exciting. I need to make a few big decisions and the process of making these decision has made my path and direction brighter and clearer. I am not able to spell out what decision they are because its rather personal. However, for my friends out there, if you are in a fix where you do not know what to do. Always remember to consult the person you trust the most, then analyse with a sensible mind and come out with a realistic decision. Nothing in this world is impossible, it is often the reluctance to make changes that makes people go away. Till now I stood firm with my decision, cos I am answerable to myself :) Glad to have the understanding of my close ones.

This 4 months, I've met nice and bad people whom I wished I have the power to remove those baddies. But come to think of it, life would not be so challenging for me if everything goes smoothly. Overcoming each hurdle only makes me stronger. Of cos, I'll get tired physically and mentally, but all thanks to my motivators who keep me recharged with energy and spirit. So for me I really treasure those who are good to me, well... you know who you are! Thank you and its all of you that makes me motivated and keeps me going and going.

I felt really bad for not being able to meet up with my closest friend these few months. I promise to make time for you k. First of all my two buddies John and Kelvin and one more is the person whom I "aeroplaned" a few times, Ann with her baby :) Sorry ah... I catch up with you guys soon!

In fact, I have so many things that I wanted to blog, but I'm not able to fill in now cos my brain is overloaded. I'll find time to load all the gathering pictures and I promise to blog more often.

Before I end the post, I wanted to thank all my wonderful students for the enthusiasm in learning, keep it going and going... with luvs!

Saturday, Yesterday and Today!

Saturday was a long day for me... I was out for the WHOLE day! Nevertheless, those are important things that I cannot don't do! First of all, I attended Xueling's church wedding at City Harvest, quite romantic. I reached at 10:30am and it rained when we were having buffet at 5th floor rooftop. 天不作美!

Not long after, I rushed over to NAFA to help Acid with the choir performance. John, Ferlyn and me were covering stage management, quite tiring but fun! Wanna thank John for the help cos the duration was really really long. 1:30pm till 10:30pm!!! When everything ended, Ferlyn 重色轻友 went off first and I sent brother John to chalet. By the time I reach home is already near 1am!

Now see brother Acid in action...
Don't play play, Conductor cum Vice President leh!

Sunday, jamming day... a session without YingZhi and Acid. Acid is taking a few months break due to his busy schedule. He mention that he would like to be on acoutic guitar when he's back, so YingZhi will be taking over the main keyboard. I am also planning her to be the 2nd vocalist, however due to her having something on, she did not come the jam session. I invited ZhiTian along to observe and comment on our session. I think it'll be good to have another person to give comment and also to make us play better since there is "audience" with us... It was quite a fruitful session which I think we improved a little, just that we really got to sort out the songs to play and those that we want to take out.

Anyway the following pic are taken during previous jamming...

Today, first day of work... was back to engineering field. I met my new colleagues and was trying to adapt to the environment. I felt that I make the right choice to join this company and everything seems fine... so I only hope things will continue to be good and I'll try to learn things fast and be an efficient worker haha...

Since I knock off at 5:30pm and my office was so near my house, I took the chance to blog a little and when I'm more free I'll try to upload the pics to make the posts more "picture-ful" ... haha VERY BROKEN ENGLISH!?!?!?

March ~ April, Adapting to schedules and changes!

Its been soooo long from my last post. Many things happened and I was unable to blog it down times and times due to the same reason - BUSY!

Or is it just an excuse?

Today is a rest day for me because I had quitted my job and move on to a more stable job. I do not want be like them... Fighting spirit, fly like an eagle, unlimited challenges are just another chapter. However, I really appreciate all the good people that render help and those brothers that I really get along well with.

天下没有不散的宴席,this period of nearly 2 months has made me stronger. I will always remember the people that make me what I am. Take care and keep in contact!

I intend to back date all the event that I didn't blog with this post. But it has been so eventful that I dunno how to start with. So bear with it, I'll try add some pics...

Anyway before I went to cut my hair before I start my new job and this is how I look like before I cut my hair.

My baby's birthday has just passed, one year older but one year wiser :) I tried DIY presents, brought her a mini guess bag and we went to an old school western restaurant... but hor on the actual day everything is so boring... nothing romantic! 太委屈了! I promise to make up to you k! Hug <3 <3 <3

Last Saturday was OB In-House Concert. Well, the sound system sucks and the place is so warm regardless backstage or at the audience seat. Not a good place i supposed. But I was also told that this even no budget de... so cannot "hiam" so much. Actually prepared a performing item with Wenhan. Double guitar doing medley of 霍元甲 and 如果还有明天, but was being withdrawn last minute due to over run. Since it was a student concert, I think we should give priority to the students. As for those unhappiness, guessed all should have simmer down since its already a week, 好不好?

This is a pic of me going home after one of the rehearsal.

One of the weekend I also went to pray to my two grandfathers, had to wake up at 5am. Not only there are a lot of people, heavy traffic. There is certainly great air pollution going on... seeing is believing.

Oh ya, I went for Jeff Chang's concert also... It was very classy... not like those normal pop or rock concert. However all his songs are very nice. He has enough good song to hold the 2 to 3 hrs concert. However newspaper gave the concert bad reviews, which I beg to differ... I still enjoyed the performance. All I can say is I prefer Indoor Staduim than Max Pavillion. Anyway, Jeff Chang cracked a few time on high notes despite that his voice is clean and crystal clear.

Complete Handbook of Voice Training by Richard Alderson

Xueling borrowed me a book called Complete Handbook of Voice Training written by Richard Alderson. I was reading it halfway and would like to share with you guys. Quite a good book for people interested to know more about vocal training. Hope you find it useful :)

First Jamming

3rd March 2008, the first jamming of my new band!

Well, forming a band is difficult and why do I say so? Cos its my 4th band, and the previous 3 bands did not last long... However, I'm still very eager to go thru the process of forming band again :) And I hope this band can last for goodness sake.

Anyway, we do not have a name yet! Suggestion anyone?!?!?!

Basically, I had planned for the first jam session for the band since Dec 07. Haha, took 2 months to plan... perhaps I knew if I fail to plan, the plan will fail... Anyway I took no chance to make it happen and it finally started!

Band members line-up:
=====================
Alvyn - Drummer
Charles - Bassist
WenHan (Lennon) - Guitarist
Acid - Keyboardist
YingZhi - Keyboardist
HuanJie - Vocalist

Songs for first jam session:
============================
想太多 - 张震岳
你快乐所以我快乐 - 动力火车
离开地球表面 - 五月天
不能说的秘密 - 周杰伦

We went to PLAYGROUND STUDIO for jamming, it was recommended by Acid. The people there are very friendly :)

Photobucket
Don't be mistaken, he is not the drummer but the bassist, Charles! Haa haa!

Photobucket
Acid, WenHan and me... trying to be cool...

Photobucket
Acid & me look so formal cos we came after work!
Ok... I admit trying to act cute...

In near future we hope to play our own songs, mainly by WenHan and me... for now I guess we should just jam and find the chemistry within the 6 of us. So far, I feel that the first jam is quite alright! However, for all of us to jam together is really difficult due to our work schedule... but together as one we can pull thru! Tentatively, we plan to practice once a week or at least forthnightly :)

Of course, I hope to load the songs we play over here if possible. Ya, pictures as well...

Cheers!

F.I.R @ City Harvest Jurong West!

Yup I went to the event on 1st March. It was an enjoyable experience even though I'm not a Christian. I like the Christian songs they sing. The stage, sound and lighting were good. Of course I'm most attracted to the live band portion, my all time favourite!

The special guest is [F.I.R - JianNing Lao Shi] = AhQing & Faye

The two of them are Christian artiste in Taiwan and that why they are there to perform. The interview part is humorous, Faye can sing live well and AhQing's guitar lick is fantastic! I don't quite like his guitar tone though, but I understand that I shouldn't be setting my expectation so high, its not F.I.R concert, k? :P

Oh well... as usual, I'll share some pics with you. Sorry for the poor resolution as I was sitting right at the baaack... *keke*
